1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil or other carrier oil
3/4 tablespoon water
1-2 teaspoons essential oils (optional)
Food coloring or bath bomb colorant (optional)
Dried flowers or herbs (optional, for decoration)
Directions:
In a bowl, mix together the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salts, and cornstarch.
In a separate bowl, mix the coconut oil, water, essential oils, and food coloring.
VERY (I cannot emphasize this enough) Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well. The mixture should hold together when squeezed without crumbling.
Pack the mixture into bath bomb molds, pressing firmly to compact.
Let the bath bombs dry in the molds for at least 24 hours, then carefully remove them.
Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
